Why it costs less: you aren’t paying a moving company to own and run a truck. That split is why our labor rate is lower than full-service movers. Our crew doesn’t drive your rental truck by default.

What Size Truck Should I Rent?
Reserve it in your name from U-Haul, Penske, Budget or Home Depot. This is a recommendation, not a guarantee, so if you’re between sizes, go bigger or ask us.

- 26ft4+ bedrooms or lots of heavy furnitureMay need two trips. Call us first.
- Buy the rental company’s damage waiver + liability coverage. At U-Haul, Safemove Plus is the option that adds liability.
- Apartment? Check the garage height and book the elevator. Many garages cap at 6′8″–7′, so a 26 ft truck won’t fit.
- Pick the truck up before we arrive (the afternoon before or first thing that morning). For a local move, an in-town rental is usually cheaper than one-way.

Do you bring a truck?
No. We’re a labor-only crew. You rent the truck in your name from U-Haul, Penske, Budget or Home Depot and pay the rental company directly for the truck, mileage and fuel. You pay us for labor only, which is why our rate is lower than full-service movers.
Do you drive the rental truck?
Not by default. You, or a friend listed on the rental agreement, drive. Please never hand the keys to anyone who isn’t on the rental contract, because that can void the rental company’s coverage.
How is time billed?
The clock starts when we arrive at pickup and ends when your truck is unloaded and you sign off. There’s a minimum, explained in your estimate. If the truck isn’t there yet when we arrive, we pause the clock. If our crew rides along to the new place, that ride time is on the clock. If we meet you there in our own vehicle, the drive in between isn’t billed.
How much will my move cost?
See the pricing section for our hourly rates and typical totals. For an exact written estimate, we do a free video walkthrough. Remember, the truck rental is paid separately to the rental company.
What size truck should I rent?
Roughly: studio 10 ft, 1-bed 15 ft, 2-bed 20 ft, 3-bed 26 ft, and 4+ bed 26 ft (it may take two trips). See the truck guide or ask us and we’ll recommend one.
Do you load PODS and moving containers?
Yes. We load and unload PODS, containers and storage units, plus rental trucks.
Are stairs or a long walk extra?
The first flight of stairs is included. Extra flights and long carries are listed in your estimate.
I’m moving out of state. Can you help?
We don’t drive long distance, but we can load your rental truck or container here in the Phoenix area so you can hit the road.
Can you move a piano, gun safe or pool table?
Call us first. Very heavy or specialty items need a closer look before we can quote them.
Do you work in the summer heat?
Yes. We start early in the morning during the hottest months to stay safe and keep your things protected.

How do I pay?
We’ll go over payment when we send your written estimate.
Is there anything you won’t move?
Hazardous materials (gas, propane, paint, chemicals) and anything illegal. Please move cash, jewelry, medications and important papers yourself.
